The uninspiring named "Fantasy World Podcast" features a delightful mix of humour and discussion, centred around various topics and debates, while the more hardcore “Button Mashers Podcast” takes a look at the more serious side of the games industry, bringing on guest speakers to debate topical discussions from the industry view.

As a super bonus special feature we also host podcast's specifically about events currently being held on the site from time to time, such as the Battle Royal Podcast and the Generation Seven Podcast. Both of these are designed to keep your ears up to date with all the juicy information on our character battle contests.

The best part of our podcasts is your involvement! Not only can you continue the discussion on the community message boards, but you, yes you, could be a guest star on an episode. Simply get in contact with the shows producer (details below) and we can get something arranged.

Please note you need a broadband connection, Skype and a microphone to participate.

03/05/08 - Fantasy World Episode 017: Mario Kart Grand Pricks
In a very special edition of The Fantasy World Podcast we are joined by System Administrator Alex and community member Biccy as we play Mario Kart Wii online! Join us as we discuss the games highs and lows, its numerous control schemes, the new tracks and items and much, much more besides! It's a little bit different, but that’s what we do. It's a Grand Pricks of a show!

Plus, check out the episodes highlights in video form, only on episode two of Clidus Cam.
21/03/08 - Battle Royal: Game Over.
The final episode of Battle Royal. We recap the results of the final four battles, talk about contest highlights, and reveal the final leaderboard and tell you who won the top 3 prizes. Also, find out who everyone picked as their champions, and hear how Joshie roasts you all for picking who you did. We get a surprise guest toward the end as well. You'd be really, really foolish not to download this final podcast!
18/03/08 - Fantasy World Episode 016: What ya playing?
The Fantasy World Podcast crew return this week to discuss their favourite thing in the whole wide world; Gummy Bears! Discussion also moves onto games at some point, and lots of them. In an extended edition of 'What ya playing?' we muse over Klonoa 2: Lunatea's Veil, Trauma Centre: Second Opinion, Metal Gear Solid 2, Devil May Cry 3, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Shadow of the Colossus, Resident Evil 4, Burnout Revenge, Patapon, Half Life 2 and more. It's a hell of a show, so go right ahead and download it now! Do it!
15/03/08 - Battle Royal: Week 8 Recap.
Join us four as we recap the Semifinals and Division Finals, in addition to providing silly commentary and hilarity. Our first 4-person podcast this contest, and it was a doozy. Blame Josh entirely for the length being as it is. However, it's one you won't want to miss--with 4 battles left to go, it's still almost anyone's game. Find out where you stand as we head into our Tournament Final.
09/03/08 - Button Mashers Episode 008: Button Mashers Melee.
Hi everyone. Sorry this is late, it seems Murphy is an equal opportunity podcast hater. Its been a while since we did one of these, but they may become a staple for major releases; we'll see. Brian, Nick and I decided to give Melee a proper send off, so here it is in all its spoilerific glory. Also, I apologize in advance for the weird format; there were a few extras that I wanted to slip in, which I did, but it let to some strange pacing stuff.
07/03/08 - Battle Royal: Week 7 Recap.
The unlucky 7th podcast breaks down all the Quarterfinal action, including its usual mix of results. However, Murphy and his law once again reared their ugly heads as this one ended up being recorded with just myself...falling victim to hosts never materializing, bad Internet connections, late start, and MediaFire being absolutely shitty. However, there indeed was a 40 minute block of time where I managed to get just myself. Listen to how EyesOfATragedy has surged from 6th to 1st, and also find out where everyone stands in the full leaderboard.
29/02/08 - Battle Royal: Week 6 Recap.
With Joshie and Ben bowing out at the last second to bandwidth failure and domestic duties, respectively, I bring on our defending champion to make sense of what happened during the second half of Round 2. We try to answer once and for all if Joshie really is a woman, but I don't think we actually get there. A note: this was recorded using Sound Recorder, so while the audio is decent, I take no responsibility for the whims of Windows XP. Also, I snuck in an Easter egg after the closing theme, so be sure to listen for it!
21/02/08 - Battle Royal: Week 5 Recap.
With 40 days of the contest now in the books and 48 battles left to play, things are beginning to heat up. The leaderboard has begun to spread out as more and more characters drop out of the contest. With the points now doubled, which of you benefited from fully correct battle predictions? The leaderboard may surprise you. Also, who advances to the Quarterfinals? Join myself, Ben, and Joshie for the usual hilarity (with a hint of real seriousness, including some actual important information regarding the state of the contest as a result of Fantasy World's downtime) and commentary as we recap the first half of the 2nd round.
10/02/08 - Battle Royal: Half Time.
Flying solo this time around, having shot my previous guests, I recap the first half's major highlights, and provide results for the Fourth Dimension division. In addition to putting out a call for guests for later podcasts and for fan art, I also run off the full and complete leaderboard so you know where you stand at the halfway point. Have some good music too, while you're at it.
09/02/08 - Fantasy World Episode 015: Do the Mario.
In this episode of the Fantasy World Podcast, we welcome back Sputin and discuss our lovely Christmas break. The main topic of discussion for the day is that old fart Mario and the success of his franchise, but as usual we trail onto other things. But that’s why you love us right? We also announce the winner of our virtual console competition and announce a new, Mario themed one. As usual, check out the message board thread for details.
01/02/08 - Battle Royal: Week 3 Recap.
This week, Ben, Nick, and I recap the Third Quest division. Some contest history was made in this division, and said history caused what amounts to be a surprise at the top of the leaderboard. Also, listen as Ben verbally bashes my opinion that Sakura should have beaten Rayman, as well as our thoughts on the first contest tiebreaker--did breasts have a role to play in the outcome? Combine that with the usual hilarity and commentary, it's a podcast you're not gonna wanna pass up on.
24/01/08 - Battle Royal: Week 2 Recap.
Back once again, here's the second in the series of podcasts for Battle Royal. With Ben and Sir-Not-Appearing-In-This-Podcast, we recap the first round of the Second Chance division. Full results, commentary, some Joshie bashing, and the full, up to date leaderboard lists where everyone stands after the first two divisions.
16/01/08 - Battle Royal: Week 1 Recap.
Join myself, Ben, and Joshie as we recap the First Donuts, Round 1. Results for every battle is in here, including our take on them, plus matchups for First Donuts, Round 2. Also hear where everybody stands after the first 16 battles. Plenty of hilarity, comments, and off-topic remarks. Also, we honor the birthday of Nick (iamaredmage), including a special easter egg hidden after the closing theme.
23/12/07 - Fantasy World Episode 014: Game of the Year 2007.
In our last episode of the year the team, including guest star Wyatt, take a look at each gaming system and judge how well they are doing at the end of 2007. They also give their recommendations on what game they thought was their game of the year in a challenging sixty-second time frame. But the question that remains is will E be able to muster enough brainpower to complete the challenge? Or will he fail? There is only one way to find out and that is to listen to our latest show. Go download it now and become part of the collective that is the Fantasy World Podcast!

Plus, check out the message board thread for details on how to win a free virtual console game of your choice!
01/12/07 - Fantasy World Episode 013: Porn's.
Who says that the number 13 isn’t unlucky? In our 13th episode of the Fantasy World Podcast everything that could go wrong certainly did. Was experimenting with the podcast formula by having no specific topic a good idea? Probably not, which is why we fully agree never to do it again. But if you love the sound of fire alarm interruptions and playing scrabble online then you’re in for a treat. What is that you say? Scrabble is boring? Shush you. No one has experienced a game of scrabble quite like this one! Just remember porn’s is the word.
18/11/07 - Button Mashers Episode 007.
Episode 7 is all about the most racist little DS title I've ever seen. It clocks in at 15.1 megs and 16 and a half minutes. Now, those of you who've heard my show before will notice how paltry that is compared to what I usually produce. Well, the real world happened, and for a while it looked like the show was going to be mostly a digital soapbox of 10-15 minute sound bytes. But luckily, the blog came into existence (thank you Joshie) so I'll be able to use it mostly for quick shouts and as for the show? Well, let me know what you guys think of the shorter format, I'm not against keeping it and just using long shows for special occasions.
12/11/07 - Fantasy World Episode 012: Massive and Multiplayer.
In this episode we look at the wonder that is an MMORPG. We talk about the good, the bad and the damn right crazy aspects of this online miracle. To top it off we have three different perspectives; the ones for, against and erotically curious for it. Listen to the arguments, agreements and mayhem as we bring on two special guests for the first time ever and discuss the great world of Massively Multiplayer Games. Plus surprise Sputin singing bonus feature!
14/10/07 - Fantasy World Episode 011: Nintendo Power.
The Fantasy World Podcast returns with some changes to the crew, but one hell of a good show! In this episode we discuss the new site launch before moving on to the recent announcements from Nintendo, including the addition of Sonic to Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Also contained inside is just how awesome Nintendo can really be with its growing Wii franchise. You would be absolutely sane to not download this because quite frankly, sanity is for losers!
01/10/07 - Generation Seven conclusion podcast.
And so ends the Bard's Tale--I mean, ends my 7th character battle contest--the Generation Seven Character Battle Contest. Old school went up against the new classics, and now it's come to completion. 128 characters began, 1 survived it all. And now we present it to you. There is a written version of the final recap if you can't listen and/or download the end of contest podcast starring yours truly, and Kinie. Enjoy!
13/08/07 - Generation Seven halftime podcast.
We're here! We've reached the halfway mark of the Generation Seven Character Battle Contest! Staring myself (S.Roth) and running for 31 minutes, I run down how the contest has run thus far. A podcast correction: I mention an upset in the Nintendo Division between Marth and Ryu. Ryu was actually the winner there; it was the first tiebreaker of the contest. Toward the end, I mouth off the battles of Round 2, and I said Marth goes against DK. This is wrong: it is actually Ryu vs. DK.

01/07/07 - Button Mashers Episode 006.
This show stars tetsuotrunks, CloudANDTidus and S.Roth, and we talk about Nintendo's potential negative impact on the entire industry. Due to some connection problems, there are random moments where the sound cuts out. It is obviously impossible for me to fix these, but there shouldn't be any spots where you can't figure out what was being said. The episode is a little over an hour, and is our largest show at over 60 Megs.
14/06/07 - Fantasy World Episode 008: Sex, Drugs and Tea and Biscuits.
We take a little break from the discussion of video games to talk about the more important aspects of life; Red Dwarf and Biscuits! Also on the agenda is the subject of bizarre facts about the human life, classic selection and quote of the fortnight. And as an extra podcast bonus, our super special guest Luna sings for us LIVE!
09/06/07 - Button Mashers Episode 005.
Episode 5 is all about milking and overusing characters and franchises. Its with me (tetsuotrunks) and S.Roth, and this one runs a tiny bit shorter than usual at 58:40. There may be one or 2 assorted quality issues, but I blame S.Roth for that one.
21/05/07 - Fantasy World Episode 007: Hot Coffee.
This week on the Fantasy World Podcast our levelheaded coffee disciple Blackphoxx joins us to discuss the differences between gaming culture in America and Britain. Also on the table is Final Fantasy news, Live Action Role Play (LARP), Table Top dice rollers and why Josh sounds like a dyeing rhino. Plus don't miss more classic selection and quote of the fortnight.
14/05/07 - Button Mashers Episode 004.
This episode features myself and Nick discussing various online aspects involved in gaming. As you may have guessed, this was recorded before the Virginia Tech episode, but I wanted to push stuff back for the obvious reasons. The sound levels may be a bit wonky in a few spots and I apologize for that.
11/05/07 - Fantasy World Special: Celebrating Eyes Week!
In a very special edition of the Fantasy World Podcast, co-host E gives a surprise present to EyesOfATragedy for graduating from university.
07/05/07 - Button Mashers Episode 003.
So here it is again, Episode 3. Sorry I took it down last week, but I didn't want anything to overshadow the special episode. So here it is again. Look for my thoughts on the special episode soon, and I hope you guys enjoy this one.
02/05/07 - Fantasy World Episode 006: Amazon Eyes and Birthday E.
Fantasy World Forum co-administrator Eyes joins us this week as we discuss all things video games. We start with what ya been playing, continue with why we play video games and finish on how you deal with spoilers in games. That’s not all however as we have a new section called classic selection, another quote of the fortnight and a few surprises!
30/04/07 - Button Mashers Special: Virginia Tech.
You might have noticed that Episode 3 is no longer up. You are correct, Episode 3 was posted and then pulled. If any of you were actually able to download it, feel free to hold onto it. It wasn't removed because something was wrong with it or anything. I removed it because I had something else that I felt was worth posting, and I didn't want anything to be overshadowed. I do have a few things I'd like to address, but first, I'd like this episode to speak for itself. Also, I would suggest you listen all the way to the end, the music is explained there.
08/04/07 - Fantasy World Episode 005: Killing a brand.
Fantasy World veteran Chaos comes on the show this week to talk about Sony’s next generation PlayStation 3 console. Also on the table are the subjects of forum role-playing and the war in Iraq. Plus, the longest ever quote of the fortnight!
07/04/07 - Button Mashers Episode 002.
Episode 2 explores the ideas of major cross-overs in the gaming world. Specifically, we discuss Sonic and Mario at the Olympics, and what that could mean for the future of both franchises and franchises in general. The episode runs 52:00, and weighs in at a hefty 47.6 Meg. Sorry, not too dial-up friendly. The co-hosts for this episode are Eric Nagler and Ryan Gallo. That's right, 3 people discussing a topic this time. Will this be something we see a lot? Yeah, probably.
31/03/07 - Button Mashers Episode 001.
Here it is, the inaugural episode of Button Mashers. A few quick disclaimers. First off, S.Roths's mic has issues, so his voice is substantially lower than mine. And the editing is a bit sloppy, which is normally something that I would never allow, but since the files decided to corrupt themselves shortly after we produced this file, our options were to either record an entire new show, or live with what we've got. In short, the quality of some parts of this show is in no way reflective of what we view as a final product, and all future posts will be more up to snuff. Other than that, hope you all enjoy it and feel free to leave some feedback.
25/03/07 - Fantasy World Episode 004: Video Game Heroes Extravaganza.
Guest start Brian Williams comes on the show as we discuss what we been playing, the Video Game Heroes Extravaganza, and much more! Plus, we play the fabulous ask a question get an answer game LIVE!
09/03/07 - Fantasy World Episode 003: Final Fantasy XII.
We discuss everything Final Fantasy XII as it launches in Europe with special guest and RPG guru Kinie, plus VDR shout out and quote of the fortnight!
17/02/07 - Fantasy World Episode 002: Valentines Special!
The Fantasy World Forum Valentines event, Cars, Ten years of Final Fantasy VII, a note on the server change, quote of the fortnight and Sputins live keyboard!!!
forums, quote of the fortnight and much more!
25/01/07 - Fantasy World Episode 001: OMG! A podcast!
The Fantasy World Podcast, the Nintendo Wii, Wii Sports, Zelda, Guitar Hero, the server change, on the forums, quote of the fortnight and much more!
