Rules, regulations, and generic mandatory minutia

1) Entering this contest is relatively simple. All you have to do express interest. This FAQ will be posted as a link in Late to the Party and in my LJ. The tournament bracket will be done entirely ONLINE, once again at Bracket Maker, a fun and efficient place to make tournament brackets.

2) To be able to vote in this contest, you will need to be able to access my LiveJournal, http://l-loire.livejournal.com, and also be able to access the Late to the Party (which I'll abbreviate as LTTP from this point on) web site, at http://www.latetotheparty.co.uk. I will strongly suggest you do both. Why? When battles are posted, they are posted simultaneously on both LTTP and my LJ. This means that you can vote twice per battle, one on LTTP, one on LJ.

3) One vote per individual poll--VOTE FIXING IS EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED. By vote fixing, I mean that you can't deliberately refresh your IP address in order to give yourself multiple votes per battle. Anyone entrant caught or suspected of vote fixing will automatically be disqualified and forever barred from entering any future character battle contests. Anyone who is not an entrant and commits vote fixing will force me to end the contest, with no prizes being awarded. Voting lasts for 24 hours, beginning and ending between 7 and 8 PM each contest day. I will do my best to keep to these times, but there may be times when I may be late or something comes up. If there is a situation where I know I will not be at a computer for a period of time, for example, if I'm going away for a weekend, it shall be made known. This battle start/end time is subject to change.

4) No 'absentee' voting-meaning, if you're going to be away and therefore can't vote, I will not vote for you if you ask. It would not be fair to the other players. If your predicted winner for that battle loses, you were away from a computer and couldn't vote, oh, well.

5) Note for old and new entrants: Some of the images for the characters in this contest may show characters in suggestive clothing, stances, poses (there will be no nude images here), or something rather suggestive, and may or may not be suitable for younger kids. If your parents have a say on what you can and can't see on the Internet, please don't enter this contest and get me in trouble. By entering this contest, you assume any risks that may involve parental discipline. I take no responsibility. Entering this contest tells me that you are ok to view images that possibly may be of a more mature nature. Should you get in trouble as a result of viewing something you aren't supposed to, you will be disqualified from the contest, and any points you accrue will be divided up amongst everyone.

6) A violation of said rules (no absentee voting, no vote fixing, cheating, parental reasons, etc) will result in disqualification from the contest, and any points accrued will be divided up among everyone. You also risk the termination of your LTTP account.
